  • Survey: Going from Concept to Final Design

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις 23 Μαΐου 2010 admin Χωρίς Σχόλια

SolidWorks is currently researching the topic “Going from SolidWorks conceptual model to final production model.” We understand that many users create their SolidWorks model/s differently depending on what part of the design phase they are in. In other words, SolidWorks designers will often create a conceptual model knowing that, eventually when they get to creating a final production model, quite a lot of the their model features will be deleted and recreated or the entire conceptual model will be throw away.

Taking this brief survey (along with many other sources of information) will provide for us a better understanding of your needs.

  • Bulletin: SolidWorks Portal Login Changes

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις 11 Μαΐου 2010 admin Χωρίς Σχόλια

    Dear Dassault Systèmes Solidworks customer,
On Sunday, May 16th we will be making some system changes that will affect the way you access the SolidWorks web portals, including the SolidWorks Customer Portal.  The changes are intended to add both convenience and additional security to the way you access the web tools. The following are some of the key benefits and changes that will be introduced with this initiative:
    ·         A single login account will now grant you access to multiple SolidWorks web portals, including SolidWorks Forums. You will no longer need to manage multiple logins for the various sites. Additionally, once you are logged into one of the portals, accessing additional portals will NOT require an additional login. This “invisible” login feature should facilitate easier browsing across multiple sites.

    ·         A new confirmation email will be sent to new users that register for Customer Portal access. The email will contain a link that they will need to click on to confirm their email and to validate their new portal account. They will need to follow these steps before being able to login to their new portal account.

    ·         New and improved password management features have been added. If you forget your password you can use the self-service “Forgot Password” link on the login page to retrieve a new one.   If you need to change your password you can use the new “Change Password” link within the My Profile page to access the self-service password management tool.

    ·         The first time existing users attempt to login to the Customer Portal after the changes go into effect on the 16th they will see a message instructing them to close their browser and login again. This is a one-time only message and process that is necessary to ensure the activation of existing user’s account in our new identity management system. This message will not appear on subsequent logins.

    ·          Because both the new registrant and “Forgot Password” processes will both generate important confirmation emails, we recommend that any existing or potential portal users within your organization add the *solidworks.com email domain to their allowed senders list. This will help prevent important messages from ending up in junk mail folders as well as any needless delays in gaining portal access.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at CustomerCenterSR@SolidWorks.com
    Thank you!
